Don’t we all want to get that skinny figure we see in magazines? Don’t we all want to fit in our ten-year-old jeans? Don’t we all try dieting now and then? But what makes us fail miserably?
Well, for starters, you will have to agree with me that every time you start a diet, you give up very quickly. The reason is very simple; everybody is different and needs a different diet that works for them. There are many popular diet plans offered by many experts and many exercise plans are also available. But the hardest part is to follow these extremely disciplined regimes. You start with enthusiasm and get sluggish in the midway and give up. Let’s find the solution to your problem together.
Things you need to do to follow a diet plan:
Focus on your target:
Set your target weight and note it down. Don’t be unrealistic when you set this target. Start by setting up a reasonable target. Print a list of things that you need to daily in a planner with the milestone at the end of the week. This way you can compare how much you exercise and the diet you followed to get the result. If you didn’t achieve the target then you can easily evaluate where you went wrong.
Count the amount you eat and the amount of work out you do. Now you can easily get gadgets like Fitbit to watch and monitor how much you exercise. If you are not willing to spend that much then you can use your smartphone to count how many steps you take daily and if this number is sufficient enough or not. This makes following the diet plan so much easier.
Motivating and re-motivating yourself is very important. Giving up your favourite foods is very difficult. Giving up your relaxing time to do exercise is even harder. You will get tired and fatigued and want to give up after a few days. But motivating yourself on the way can help you get through with this. The planner and recording of how well you are doing can be a reminder to motivate yourself. Treat yourself now and then, go to the spa, eat a yummy but healthy treat, etc. The purpose is to pat yourself on the back and tell yourself that you can do it.
Follow the experts:
This probably should be at the top of the list but anyways, you will agree that expert advice is way better than what your friend or neighbour told you. Yes, we all hear stories that ‘someone’ stopped doing this or eating that and lost weight in a week. This is all nonsense, even if they did starve themselves to lose weight, this is not the right way to do it. Staying healthy while losing weight should be your goal. You don’t want to be deficient in vitamins and minerals to lose weight.
So follow expert advice and plans designed by them. At VENUS ARMY we focuses on the health and well-being of women.
