Smoothies will also fill you up for longer, can satisfy your sweet cravings, and are packed with vitamins and antioxidants. Smoothies of any kind are a perfect breakfast alternative for everyone who has a hard time eating complex meals in the morning.
However many smoothies you can buy “ready to go” in shops or restaurants, can be stuffed with sugar, frozen yoghurt and sometimes ice cream to make it more tasty and irresistible for the consumer. Those can often do more harm than good. But made properly, smoothies concentrate large amounts of fruits and vegetables into one very tasty and healthy drink.
Our best Tips:
  1. Get a blender with at least an 800-watt motor; otherwise you won’t be able to blend smoothie ingredients like ice cubes and frozen fruits, properly.
  2. Prepare frozen fruit and ice cubes ahead to save time.
  3. It can take a long time to prepare frozen bananas. You need to peel, slice  and freeze them. But they will add thickness to your smoothie and also make it a lot sweeter.
  4. Add liquid smoothie recipe ingredients like milk, yoghurt, water, to get the blender moving. Then, add lighter ingredients, like spinach or protein powder, followed by slightly heavier ingredients like ice cubes and frozen fruits.

Smoothie ingredients:
  • 1  frozen Banana
  • ½ Mango
  • 50g Spinach
  • 1 ripe kiwi
  • 2 Scoops of VENUS-PRO Thermo Slim Shake (vanilla cheesecake flavour)
  • 200g Low fat yoghurt
  • 200ml ice cold water
How to shake:
  1. Slice the kiwi and mango into small pieces
  2. For the top Layer, mix the Kiwi, the spinach, 100ml water and 100g yoghurt.
  3. Set aside while preparing the Mango Layer.
  4. Combine Venus Pro Thermo Protein with the Mango, the frozen banana, the rest of the yoghurt and 100ml water.
  5. Put the mango layer in a big glass and at the kiwi layer on top
  6. Decorate with your favourite toppings and serve immediately.
